The shepherd's dog

Out on the windy hill
Under that sudden star
A blaze of radiant light
Frightened my master.

He got up, left our sheep,
Tramped over the moor.
And I, following,
Came to this open door,

Sidled in, settled down,
Head on my paws,
Glad to be here, away
From the wind's sharpness.

Such warmth is in this shed,
Such comfort from this Child,
That I forget my hard life,
Ignore the harsh world,

And see on my master's face
The same joy I possess,
The knowledge of peace,
True happiness.

We know it’s you, small green-brown male

Ludo’s Poem

I’m Ludo the cat

And you may well ask what

Is my reason for missing your Zooms:

I’ve not been myself,

Choose an outbuilding shelf

In preference to warm rooms.

I eat all I’m fed,

Take all of my med

Which I get from the vet in the toon,

Though I’m age 17,

I’m not yet a ‘has been’,

And I hope to be back with you soon.

THOUGHTS AT 102

Confused about time

I can still make a rhyme.

Can’t see much or hear,

And my memory I fear

Is tricky, but I am not done

I can certainly talk,

I can take a short walk,

I can eat, I can drink,

I can sleep, I can think,

Cognito, ergo sum

Time is too brief,

And too weak my belief.

But His patience is long

And His promise is strong;

To regret I will not succumb

Eternal sweet life

Or Oblivion, no strife;

What God gave let Him take.

Who died for our sake

So whatever He wills, let it come

Doctor’s views sound good to me !!!

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?

A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste time on exercise Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart not make you live longer; it's like saying you extend the life of a car by driving faster. Want to live longer?  Take nap.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that means they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too. Bottoms up!

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of one, sorry.  My philosophy: No pain...good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil.  How getting more vegetables be bad?

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable!  It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming good for a figure, explain whale to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is also a shape!

Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you had about food and diets.
